Fenian Kenney is a doctoral student at Princeton University in the Department of French and Italian, where her research focuses on post-WWII and post-Algerian War testimonial narratives, memory and trauma studies, and themes of disappearance, loss, and trace across French literature. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in Political Science, Theology, and French in 2021 and an MA in French and Francophone Studies in 2023. She continues to work with Contending Modernities as an Editorial Assistant.
